The following terms apply to all services provided by Rough & Ready Media unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payments
- Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun.
- Final files and deliverables are released after final payment is received.
- Work may pause if invoices become overdue.
Revisions & Scope Changes
Projects include a reasonable number of revisions.
Additional revisions, new requests, or changes outside the original scope may result in additional fees and timeline changes.
Scope changes include things such as:
- New pages
- New design concepts
- Major layout changes
- Additional file formats
- Added functionality
- Content writing not originally included
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Providing content, images, logos, and text
- Proofreading all content before approval
- Obtaining permission for copyrighted materials
- Maintaining domain and hosting accounts unless otherwise arranged
- Reviewing and approving work in a timely manner
Rough & Ready Media is not responsible for errors after final approval.
Websites & Technology
Rough & Ready Media is not responsible for:
- Hosting downtime
- Domain expiration
- Plugin conflicts
- Third-party software issues
- Email delivery issues
- Security issues caused by third-party platforms
- Updates after launch unless a maintenance agreement is in place
Printing
Clients must approve proofs before printing.
Rough & Ready Media is not responsible for printing errors after approval or for color variations between screens and printed materials.
Portfolio Rights
Rough & Ready Media reserves the right to display completed work in our portfolio, website, and marketing materials.
Project Delays
If a project becomes inactive or the client is unresponsive for 30 days or more, the project may be considered inactive and additional fees may apply to restart the project.
Acceptance of Terms
By approving a proposal, paying an invoice, or requesting work to begin, the client agrees to these terms.
